Institutional Interfaces
Institutional Interfaces unite affiliated medical or surgical institutions with TransMed Network™ and its Member-Providers. Partner institutions are institutions that have a symbiotic relationship to TransMed Network™. These institutions are given proprietary, electronic internet-based interfaces to allow seamless bidirectional data transfer. This function allows TransMed Network™ to maintain an up-to-date Electronic Health Record of all patients on the network.
There are currently three types of Institutional Interfaces:
- Level 1 Institutional Interface: allows the network to constantly search, retrieve and gather a patient’s diagnostic and therapeutic data from their clinical databases. This data is placed in the appropriate shared, electronic health record (EHR) in chronological order.
- Level 2 Institutional Interface: allows the Member-Providers to electronically schedule procedures, admissions, and therapeutic modalities at these affiliated institutions. The AAC software products have integrated Level 2 Institutional Interface.
- Level 3 Institutional Interface: is a record management system for medical centers. By integrating with a medical center’s intranet, the system builds a complete hospitalization record for every patient.
